Bunco Upcycled Sweater

Last night was my monthly Bunco group. We're a fun bunch.

Despite this picture from last month (that was to honor our friend April and her twins), they are all ridiculously pretty and very stylish. If they weren't such down-to-earth, Jesus-loving, funny, loving, caring, genuine people, I wouldn't want to be near them. With a growing belly and chillier temperatures, I have very little to choose from in my closet.

And was born the Bunco Sweater.

I found this at the bottom of my things that take up too much space in my house and should be sent off to Goodwill refashion box.

It took longer to iron than to "upcycle."

I had an awkward amount of lace left from my previous post, and figured this would be perfect. All I did was pin it on the top of the sweater and use a zig-zag stitch to sew it on.

It's very feminine which I like, but needed to be paired with something more edgy. I'm not showing you that part because really, "skinny jeans" is just a name that some skinny-never-had-kids person came up with.

I'm in LOVE with Grosgrain's Embellish Knit Month (or anything she does for that matter) and hope I can find some time to use some of her amazing ideas for old sweaters.

Happy Weekend Friends!

A simple, but great idea using lace as a collar embellishment, like it!
